San Gimignano, Italy

The view from Torre Grossa, San Gimignano, Italy
This is the beautiful walled city of San Gimignano, nestled in the Tuscan countryside of Italy. Originally, 72 towers were built in the 11th century however now only 13 remain. This photograph was taken from the tallest remaining tower, Torre Grossa, 54 metres high. Climbing the steps gave me jelly legs but the view was worth it, wouldn't you agree?
